K9versity
K9versity is a local dog trainer/walker that needed a website built from scratch and copy written to effectively convey their message. As a dog lover, writing copy about dogs and designing a website about their well-being made my work as a copywriter exciting. It also made creating a content strategy exciting. It allowed me to create an effective plan to reach an audience of dog owners needing these services.
From UX design/writing to copywriting and content strategy, this project allowed me to explore the customer journey through the eyes of a dog owner. The work here embodies the need of a dog owner to find the perfect trainer to meet their needs and improve the bond between the human and canine.
With this project, I could show the trainer's knowledge and passion for their work and care for dogs.
THE PROJECT
I designed the website from bare bones as the business didn't have one. I used UX design and research to explore new strategies and ideas to better the user journey. This allowed me to write copy for the website, from the services page to the blog, along with booking software to enhance the ease of the user experience.
The Process
My strategy involved business research in finding the correct type of content that fit the business. I wrote each piece of copy from the user's point-of-view, so their journey remained seamless from the beginning to the end.
The process started with the persona of a dog owner needing training. It ended with a website that featured the services, knowledge, and content strategy needed to make the business successful. It needed to be free from distraction, but with enough detail, so the user never got overwhelmed. This was a vital step in the copywriting process.
FutureProof
The result is a brand new website with fresh copy tailored to a dog owner needing dog training services.
