As an author, creating a website that showcased the creative work was imperative. Since the writer wrote in the genres of Urban Fantasy and Dark Fantasy, my work as a UX designer and copywriter became a lesson in content strategy. I wanted their website to reflect the imagination present in the books but be clean enough to keep a positive reader experience.
The content strategy was about the author as a brand and the reader's journey. The website reflects a clean and functional design that showcases the author's brand and talent as a best-selling author.
THE PROJECT
The project was completely redesigned, including copy, look, and blog. I provided blog posts, website copy, and an added bookshelf showcasing the different genres and series available to increase the reader's journey through the website.
